After raising PBO, the system did not throttle or show a blue screen; it went black and restarted. I backed all four cooler screws off evenly, and the same settings completed the test. This is the pitfall I hit—and a clear separation between what I measured and what remains an inference.

I thought the AXP-100 C65—with 12mm more height, two more heatpipes, and a 620g heatsink—had to be the ceiling of my collection. Then the measurements slapped that assumption down: R23 was a tie, while the four-pipe X53 dissipated 8W more in AIDA64.
